I have always enjoyed listening to stories about Sicily.
The ancient tales of my family, the stories taken from books, the popular songs, the music, the dances and the "cunti" of the storytellers that involve me in the narration of a past that continues to be alive through these expressions.
Important intangible assets that spread the cultural and social history of a territory.
Altrodove was born to introduce Sicily to the traveler through the stories of its inhabitants, its professions, its nature, its history, its food and wine products, its art and culture. It wants to connect people and make them live direct and authentic travel experiences to discover a territory deeply tied to its roots.
It will do so by involving local businesses, communities and tourism operators to have a sincere approach and to promote the sustainable economic development of the Island.
These are the principles of responsible tourism on which Altrodove bases its beliefs and develops its travel proposals in Sicily. The traveler involved in this process supports the economy of the place, enhances and respects its peculiarities and obtains an in-depth knowledge of it.

My Sicilian tale
When someone ask me where I'm from I like to say that
I'm Sicilian .
Since I was a child I breathed the air of my land and savored every nuance of it. My family nourished me with traditions at the table and through life stories.
During the holidays spent in the inland town where my father was born, I learned what community, belonging, simplicity, slowness and ancient culture mean.
I still remember with emotion the train rides with my grandmother to reach him from Palermo, the warm wind and the scent of the earth. The genuine flavor of cheeses and freshly picked fruit.
Palermo, on the other hand, is my mother's city and mine. Here I live every day, since always, the coexistence between the beauty of the landscape, the expressive force of its inhabitants and the consequent birth of contradictions that make it fascinating and unique.

The Island that saw me grow, taught me to love it by trying to enhance it by protecting its strong identity.
I wanted to study cultural tourism and I specialized in rural, food and wine and responsible tourism to be able to promote the Sicilian territory. My work experience in local travel companies gave me the tools to be able to make it happen in practice.
My travels around the world have taught me that knowledge, meeting others and respecting cultures are riches that lay the foundations of civil coexistence and are an added value to a holiday.
I want to make Sicily known through direct experiences that involve the traveler in the host community, in nature and in the cultural events that it has to offer.
I want to convey the sense of belonging to the land and ensure that those who wish to know it do so by reading all the chapters in depth as in an engaging story that remains impressed and excites, writing their own.
