Santa Ninfa (TP)

Service Description

Sicily is a land rich in history and tradition of olive growing. Various olive cultivars, introduced by the Phoenicians and later developed by Arab agricultural techniques, grow on the island. Our host company is located in the Santa Ninfa area, in the province of Trapani, a region renowned for its winemaking and olive growing, particularly in the vast expanses of rolling hills stretching to the sea. We will learn about the story of three brothers who continue a long family farming tradition, dedicated to grape and olive cultivation for three generations. They produce organic extra virgin olive oil from the Nocellara del Belice variety, and we will appreciate its unique qualities with a tasting of the new oil. The visit will be enhanced by a tour of the winery where wines such as Inzolia, Nero d'Avola, and Zibibbo are produced, including a room where the Metodo Classico is aged on the lees, and a final tasting accompanied by local products. Both production processes are carried out without the use of chemical pesticides, fully respecting the earth's natural cycles. The experience includes olive harvesting, learning the techniques from the farmers and learning the history of this ancient tradition. You'll have the opportunity to participate firsthand, interspersed with moments of relaxation on the large terrace overlooking the valley fields. PERIOD: October / November ON REQUEST: Transfer
