Descrizione del servizio
Ci troviamo in un terreno alle pendici del Monte Grifone, testimonianza ancora presente della fertile pianura chiamata Conca d’Oro, attraversata da vari fiumi e ricca di falde acquifere freatiche, che fino a qualche decennio fa era rigogliosa di colture. Il luogo presenta antichi sistemi di irrigazione in uso ai contadini siciliani di una volta e la sua gestione è affidata ad una Cooperativa che si prende cura di questi terreni confiscati alla criminalità sui quali coltiva agrumi come il mandarino tardivo di Ciaculli (presidio Slow Food) e le nespole. In periodi di raccolta avremo la possibilità di partecipare imparando un pò di più sulle tecniche degustando prodotti tipici.
